Changes
As I continue to move through the social media world I occasionally find new things to try and changes to make. That being said, my new blog/web site is http://socialcpr.wordpress.com

Why I'm closing Browntree Home Inspections
I am closing Browntree Home Inspections. The first thought some of you may have is "so sad, another victim of the down housing market", but it is quite the contrary. When I started the business on Jan 1 of 2006 I had a couple of goals in mind.
First, I wanted to prove that I could build a successful business and second, I had a monetary goal in mind. I have met both of the goals using social media.
So why am I closing a successful business? In Jan 2009 I started teaching social media. I tried over the year to figure out how to do both at the same time, but one always suffered at the hand of the other. So I can only do one thing at a time and expect to do it well. Last week I posted a status update which asked, If you could do something you loved but only make half the money you do now, would you do it? I thought I was asking everyone else, but I was actually asking myself. I enjoy the inspection business, but it is not my passion.
So what will I do now? I am now going to teach social media and do consultations full time. Teaching is my passion. It is what I've always loved the most. I have had the opportunities to teach in every job I've had and those times are my fondest memories.
Social CPR is the name of the new business. If you need a group speaker on social media or business operations using it, let me know. I also do one to one consultations to set up the social media sites and cross connect them.

Principles of a Winning Life: Comfort
God blesses those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Matthew 5:4
God's comfort is sure and gentle, and meets our deepest needs. It is available to all who come to him.

Where should a bath vent vent?
It's always best to vent your baths to the exterior through the roof or at least to a soffit vent. This one pictured is venting into the attic itself. This will add moisture to the attic and that is not what you want.

Principles of a Winning Life: Appearances
Don't be concerned about the outward beauty of fancy hairstyles, expensive jewelry, or clothes. You should clothe yourselves instead with the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God. 1 Peter 3:3-4
Beauty begins inside a person. We should spend more of our time cultivating our character than worrying about our outward appearance.
